COSTA MESA, Calif., Jan. 25, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Costa Mesa is a wonderful place to celebrate the Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year. Millions around the world celebrate this auspicious occasion, and Costa Mesa is an exciting destination to stay, shop, play and enjoy unique Lunar New Year activities guests will only find here.
South Coast Plaza
For the past 11 years, South Coast Plaza's 19-day Lunar New Year festivities are the largest and most extensive of any retail center on the West Coast. This year's annual Lunar New Year display in Jewel Court is a showstopper. Surrounded by LED screens providing a 360-degree view, the centerpiece will show rabbits, the symbol of longevity, peace and prosperity. The giant main rabbit is sitting on top of gold coins and ingots in a garden, in excitement for the arrival of spring and good fortune, of course. South Coast Plaza's Jewel Court, 3333 Bear St., Costa Mesa.
The Center's retail boutiques are offering a variety of special items for the occasion:
- Limited-edition red envelopes from CELINE, Prada, Berluti, Weekend Max Mara
- Specialty dishes and desserts including a gorgeous cake by Michelin-starred restaurant Knife Pleat
- Photo exhibition - presented by the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China, the exhibition demonstrating the beauty of Chinese culture, through February 5.
- Many boutiques will celebrate the season with limited-edition items for sale, GUCCI has even created a capsule collection echoing the joyful mood of the upcoming season.
